Comments | Amazing conditions - had not set up after the rain event. Lots of blowouts on the previously opened trails. Had to be a bit creative in knitting your way around the water features. I spent most of just under a couple hours on the top. Started at the tram base mid-morning once the pouring rain ebbed somewhat. Later the rain turned to frozen rain and snow on top - good dusting by late afternoon at the summit area. From the top, only Profile, Tramway, and Upper Cannon were open. Avalanche was closed but Paulie's rode quite well. Was a bit rough to get back to my car at the tram. Although I had goretex on, I eventually got soaked to the core and called it a day before I got chilled. Nice to have the tram running. Not many people on the slopes but the conditions were excellent. |
