Comments | I arrived mid/late afternoon and had to park in the satellite/er/school bus lot - oh well!!!! Still beat about 2 other rows of cars - hahah. I used my ice board - there were places to make turns but there was significant ice in various places - just had to be careful - I think I washed out once. Unfortunately, Meteor was closed for racing - I didn't see any actual racing when I was there for a couple hours in the late afternoon. This meant an awkward feed from skier's right (Magnitude area) down below the start gates. They did drop the ropes on Comet Drop but it was kinda solid - not that easy to find an edge. Most of the trails were kind of variable and very firm - it was really windy. I think I did most every trail and crossover at least once. Really need a bit more new snow there!!!! NOTE: many of the lights that were out on previous trips have been relit |
