Comments | It was very busy today at Wachusett. The main parking lot filled by 8:30, and parking lot #3 was filled by noon. The lodge was full, and the lift lines were about 5-6 minutes on average. The snow condition across the mountain was generally a firm base with a few inches of recent snowmaking powder groomed in on top. Challenger and Lower Smith Walton were closed for race training. Ropers Road was also closed, but all the other trails were open. The lift line briefly cleared just before noon, but then got long again when I came down the next time. I skied until 12:30, then left. Hopefully the storm tonight and tomorrow will deliver the good stuff this time. |
