Comments | Spring conditions the last couple hours of the day. Was a bit afraid to enter some glades but they had good coverage once you're in. Had to walk a bit to get to Double Take. Ridge Runner was a bit of a trap - super-challenging to focus on the rocks and bare spots to get back to the trail - still, glad I had the choice to try or not - I am glad they don't rope off the glades unless there is a really good reason. NOTE: although the upper entrance to The Abyss was closed due to bare ground, the lower entrance (my first time using that entrance - I didn't realize there was another way in) was excellent - terrific coverage in that glade. The main groomers were in really great shape. Glad they left Sweepstakes ungroomed all season - really fun natural terrain on that trail - a true classic!!!! Fantastic sun and views at the end of the day! Ragged is so fun! |
