Comments CommentsJan. 11, 2020 - Sat. 57 of 87 trails, 14 of 20 lifts, 40-50 F medium wind with some strong gusts, machine groomed & variable snow , 6” new in 7 days. Good visibility. Sunny early then cloudy. No precip all day. The predicted 75 mph winds never arrived. Grand Summit is still down. The place was pretty devoid of skiers, well for Mt Snow. I took a run down Cloud 9 to Beartrap and saw no one.

Although as warm as an end of March day, it never got slushy. There was good carving snow on top and it stayed firm underneath. Great cruising.
The snow they picked up earlier this week along with the snowmaking they were able to lay down kept many trails in good shape. Notably the core trails on Northface had some interesting whale features. Not Ripcord which looked look like a sheet of ice or Jaws which were both closed. They also had blasted Exhibition, which was unskiable last weekend, from the top of Ego on down and its now wall to wall. And nobody was on it.
