Comments CommentsReally nice early spring day at Black. Despite the warmer weather and rain during the week, conditions held up well, losing only a few trails (Lower Sun Valley, White Knuckle).

Double chair, triple chair, and handle tow were running. Js were never put on the J-Bar from what I could see. According to an employee, the platter lift has only been run twice this winter.

Groomers skied well from the start. By about 10:30, the sun had baked the natural stuff enough to make it spring snow in the sun. They fortunately left some thin cover trails open (e.g. Maple Slalom), which skied nicely in the spring snow. Runout at the bottom of Sugarbush is getting a little thin. Lostbo is also probably on its last legs, with the drop off showing rocks. Jackson Standard and other main snowmaking trails are still in good shape.

Clear skies, temperatures a little above freezing, and no lift lines.
