Comments CommentsAfter seeing that Dartmouth and Ragged were closed, we decided to ski at Waterville. We booted up at the car and got second chair on the Valley Quad. Besides the Valley Quad, they were also running Exhibition, Green Peak, and White Peaks. Most trails were open at least part of the day. The only things that were closed were ungroomed trails which did not soften up enough or trails accessed by closed lifts.Groomed trails started out great, but got scraped off later. Ungroomed terrain softened slightly during the day, but were extremely firm. There is still lots of snow, and they could stay open a lot longer if they choose. Lunch was ordered from the ticket window and was eaten outside. The mountain was quite crowded for a Monday, likely because most other mountains were closed. We had the pleasure of skiing with Jeremy Clark and Brianna for much of the day, and we stayed until closing. It is too bad that there is a good chance that the lift-served season is likely coming to a close.
