Comments CommentsPretty awesome day of skiing here at Sunday River. Grooming was exceptional all around and held up even till closure with no frozen or ice patches anywhere.

Snowmaking on the parks also started last night on 3D, T72, and Who-Ville with Sundance thrown in the mix too.

Started off at South Ridge around 9:15 and made my way over to North Peak. Took Escapade and Dreamaker to start off, then Ridge Run back to South Ridge. I don't know why, but Ridge Run always an adventure. Nice little path through all these townhouses and tunnels. Next I went over to Barker and White Cap. Took runs on Ecstasy, Sunday Punch, Cascades, and Obsession. Obsession was by far the best run of the day. Groomed powder mixed in with a light dusting the night before made it for me. I also decided to test my luck at the T-Bar before I left for Jordan. The Lifty asked me “Are you in Gould?” and I “Yes”. LOL! No RFID gate to check me here bub!

After going through Aurora, decided to end it while at Jordan Bowl. The “Big 3” (Rouge Angel, Excalibur and Lollapalooza) were all more or less the same in surface: Freshly Packed Powder. Excalibur in particular had to be the best of the the 3. Felt like riding a roller coaster. Steep rollers at the top followed by a sweet flat runoff just before you hit the lift.

Weather was around 20ish with snow flurries when I started out, and was 28 when I stopped.
