Comments CommentsI made it over to Spruce this evening for about a little over an hour of skiing. That may not seem like much at most areas, but in an hour on Spruce's ropes, you can get in a lot of laps, and your arms will be quite tired. Due to a repair that was waiting to be made, the Orchard (upper) Tow wasn't running, but everything off the Bunny (lower) and Barn (middle) Tows was open and groomed with good cover. I did hike to the summit once. Their new (to them) groomer does a great job compared to their old groomer. It was good to see them so busy tonight, although with ropes, there are never lines. They started having generator issues around 6:05, so the ropes and most lighting went down. By the time I left, they still hadn't gotten back up and running, but they were doing good business in the lodge. It's hard to beat $1 grilled cheese, $4 burgers, and $1.50 fries. Spruce is about as old school as it gets, and is always fun to ski at.
