Comments Comments5 of 5 lifts, 28 of 32 trails. Blue skies, no wind but the day started at -4. Eventually warmed to close to maybe 20. Maybe. The snow was machined groomed powder and coverage and conditions were excellent. I only hit a couple hard pack spots all day. The recent snow event must have been followed by the R word because the ungroomed was frozen solid. Not ice per se, but not enjoyable to ski. The sides of some trails were left ungroomed and looked like nice powdery moguls but they were not. But all the grooomed areas were fine.
The lift queue filled up for a while near ten o'clock. It was a helter skelter free for all. People were going 6 at a time thru the 4 RFID gates. Or around them, under them or pushing thru them. Despite the chaos the line was under 10 minutes. When they got the triple running, or people went in because of the cold, all the lines were under 5 mins for the rest of the day.
