Three inches forecasted for today, I think we can safely say we saw two! Started at Stateside, which had heavier wet powder going on, and a groom job that in places was clearly a race against the mercury. Tram side definitely had the drier, fluffier powder in comparison. First runs off the Bonadventure lift were interesting combination of pressed out spring snow that hadn’t fully firmed with a solid layer of wet powder on top. Jet had some decent channels left behind from the kitties, had potential to break ankles or tear something important!

Tram side offered a short line to ride the tram, and a typical freezer ride on the Flyer. Trails to the right unloading from the Flyer provided the best terrain/conditions combination of the day in my opinion. The only downside being that the run out on Ullr’s Dream was a minefield. There was some serious rock tilled in there, most likely because of thin cover, but made worse while grooming. Heard a suggestion to park a snow gun there one night, doesn’t sound like a bad idea! Coming off the tram, Vermonter was nice and lumpy with another interesting mix of edgeable ice and powder. Everything in the middle was good, but a clear difference in snow textures once you crossed through the col to get over to Stateside. By 1:00 it had warmed up enough that it was starting to get too heavy for me.
