Food and Beverage Food and BeverageThe Roaring Brook Umbrella Bar and the Beastro food truck were open. The Umbrella Bar looked packed. Brought food and ate at the car.
Comments CommentsThree lift pods were open today. Superstar of course. And a bonus weekend at Snowden Six, and Ramshead. Superstar ran from 8-5, the other lifts closed at 4.

Skied the full day. Was able to park close to Superstar on the Access Road. Many folks parked in the lots near the Snowden and Ramshead areas, freeing up space on the Access Rd. Booted up at the car, no K-1 lodge option for the rest of this season. Not a problem at all, it was a nice day. There was a big row of reasonably clean Port-O-Johns, and the restrooms at the Umbrella Bar were also open.

Started and ended the day at the Superstar lift. Superstar trail was firm and groomed really wide to start. They didn't leave any decent bumps for my buddy to start out on though. It was cold overnight so the trail started out firm with some loose granular and chunky coverage. After getting off the lift there were two options to hit the head wall: Take one of the two narrow ledges on skiers left, or hike up over the snow pile on skiers right. In addition to Superstar trail Skyelark to High Road to Bittersweet was also open. They were groomed but had more loose granular and chunky snow conditions.

Skied at Snowdon and Ramshead for a couple of hours before taking a lunch break. Snowden had good coverage on Mouse Run, Lower Bunny Buster, and Chute. The snow was more soft and slushy than it was at the Superstar area. Upper Bunny Buster had thin coverage and bare spots. Ramshead lift was open, but it was only really servicing the park area. But you could ski back to Snowden from it. There was a really nice view of the Superstar pod from the top of Ramshead.

Returned to the Superstar pod after lunch. By then Preston's Pitch had really softened and bumped up a lot. High Road to Bittersweet also had some sections with nice soft bumps. Alternated runs between Superstar and Skyelark/Bittersweet until I couldn't handle Preston's any more. Finished up the last part of the day going down the Superstar headwall, then cutting right onto Skyelark to Bittersweet.

Weather: Nice spring day. Mostly sunny. Temperature started out at 35 degrees, and warmed up to about 50 degrees.
