Comments Comments Lots more people here than a week ago Tuesday. No lift lines but people really riding the gondola. We arrived at 10 am and rode the gondola to the top, just once. Snow guns blasting up high were it was below freezing. More open that last week, 20 % open. Upper Drifter very nice with the best snow on the mountain and least used--seemed like most stuck to the easier Meadow trail. Oh Spruce was FIRM and was a wild fast run. Weather was nice today. We skied ten runs and the last two were on Franks Fall Line and we were practically the only ones on the slope. Stratton Mountain School was GS training on it all morning and it was closed but the trail opened at noon when the school team left the mountain. Snow was great. Polar Bear had some big icy spots on the steepest drops. A gang of snowboarders terrorized us once today, they skid out of control fall and slide and it is amazing they don't take out their pals more often. Other than the ten seconds of the snowboarder gang it was a super day. We picked up a sandwich at the country store in Jamaica on our way home, it hit the spot.
