Comments CommentsLifts were loading before 9am, and weren’t crowded until 10am. Naturally crowds consisted of a lot of kids and folks south of the border. Trails had a nice combination of cat tracks and natural snow. Snow report claimed six inches, probably not too far off. Heavier powder...chowder powder.

Happy to finally ski Birches, it’s my favorite run! Also finally got to ski Crew Cut top to bottom. Trail got the usual treatment up top, and fun soft snow piles on lower. Newfound got cut up quickly, leaving fun pillows to aim for; same went for Headwall. Lower Ridge and Pines were a blast, good combination of grooming followed by snow piling up.

Spear complex was good too. Cardigan had seen grooming last, and had the smoothest run (good for the kiddies). Flying Yankee was great, left the snow to accumulate on it so it had some fun surprises. I skipped Showboat today...know thy self. Chowder powder + Showboat + me = a show for all on the chair! Or disaster, choose your own ending.

Did not participate in any glades or gladed trails today that were open, as tempting as they were. Spear side seemed to have good snow coverage though including Sweepstake. Ragged Glade still had too much puckerbrush coming through for my liking.

Big shoutout to the mom (who will probably never read this) who was supporting her teen son on the Wild Ride features to keep getting better, and filming for him! Could be growing a future X-games skier, keep going!
