Comments CommentsLast day for Cannon on my Indy pass. Since skiing here last January, the conditions have much improved. Even though there was still plenty of natural snow, mountain ops was actually attempting to make even more snow on Rock Garden, Tossup Park, Lower Cannon, Big Link and Middle Ravine. I say "attempting", because I don't think even a single parcel of man-made snow even touched the ground during all that wind the entire day. But hey, at least they're thinking ahead of time. In 2 months from now it will likely be all over unfortunately.

Took Mittersill a lot today. Most of the naturals were open so got to check out some cool spots. Baron's Run was in fantastic shape, Track Track and Cannonball both had some sweet spots throughout. Also managed to sneak onto the T-Bar at one point just to say I rode it. Don't think anybody ever monitors that thing. Works for me!

Zoomer was also available as an option today and just about every trail on the "front five" face were open with a natural cover. Paulie's Folly and Rocket had some huge whalebacks, and Zoomer Lift Line had some awesome moguls that the wind didn't get to. Gary's and Zoomer were really nice to cruise on. Fast laps there. Echo Lake and I-93 just looked so cool being on the other side for once.

Wonderful full day of skiing. Hoping that Cannon will sign on another year with Indy. It could really use it. Blustery and cloudy throughout most of the day, with temps around the mid 20s to low 30s. Off-and-on again snowfall was present as well near the summit.
