Session SessionFull Day
Lift Ticket Ticket TypeSeason Pass
Lift Lines Lift Lines3 to 5 minutes
Snow Trail Conditions15% open; Loose Granular, Ice
Glades GladesNo glades were open today.
Moguls MogulsMoguls existed once some trails got skied off. By 3PM Escapade on North Peak was either big "moguls" or complete ice.
Terrain Park Terrain Park(s)There was a terrain park on on Upper Sunday Punch. It was icy because many skiers were getting off of the Locke Mountain Triple and the only option to ski was Upper Sunday Punch Terrain Park because of the racing on T2.
Run of the Day Run of the DayRisky Business (Spruce Peak) or Cascades (Locke Mountain)
Food and Beverage Food and BeverageGood service today, quick and great food in the "Peak Lodge" on North Peak with Lo Mein.
Comments CommentsThe conditions were great to start the day. Throughout the rest it began to get skied rather quick.

Peak By Peak Condition Report

1-) South Ridge: The Chondola was open with only one route from the top and that is why it got rather icy in a short period of time. The South Ridge Express Quad was a better option because there three to four routes skiers and riders could take to the base of South Ridge or either go to Barker White Cap or Spruce Peak

2-) Barker and Locke: The Barker Mountain Express Quad was open with rather long lines throughout the day but lines kept moving. The trail options here were rather good however the terrain park on Upper Sunday Punch was very icy. It would benefit Sunday River if they made more snow in the park area however the run most skiers took was Cascades that was in decent shape earlier in the day.

3-) Spruce Peak: Great to have this area open again this season. The new Spruce Peak Triple 2.0 was great and was very comfortable to ride on thanks to the many investments Sunday River made in this lift this past offseason. Risky Business from the top of Spruce was terrific however once you got towards the bottom of the trail it either had moguls or it was very icy.

4-) White Cap: The only trail to get you over to the White Cap area was Road Runner and it was in very good shape due to the fact I was over there very early in the day. It was good to have this option available for all skiers and riders.

For my first report I hope I could answer any questions people had about the conditions at the Sunday River today.
