Comments CommentsFinally some decent temps! Mid-mountain had best conditions - soft buttery snow, but, there was ice below the cords, as expected. I went for a long sliding fall on the Bypass - YIKES - maybe it wasn't that far, but, I got sketched out. Took a couple easy runs to build up my confidence again, but, I avoided Bypass after that. Upper mountain was quite an experience - I have never ridden in fog that thick. Upper Cannon was a really bad choice - couldn't see anywhere and the edges really drop off (and there are a LOT of turns) - I wouldn't be surprised if someone flies off that and is never found again. The plus side is that the snow was pretty decent topside. Took a run on Vista - stayed to the edges. In that big merge area it was just scary with the fog floating around - you could hear other skiers but couldn't see them - kind of reminded me of Mt Washington - caution was the word of the day. Still, pretty decent time - I only stayed 2 hours and called it quits.
