Comments CommentsSkied the Kanc8 and North Peak lifts from open to close.

The West Basin area was staged for the Pond skim event. First time since 2019, nice to see things getting back to normal! Lower Picked Rock, Blue Ox, Rampasture, and Lower Northstar were open. The trails had mostly good coverage, considering the recent weather. But there were bare spots and potholes to watch out for. Rumrunner and Coolidge Street were roped off to restrict access to the Pond Skim area. No lift line.

North Peak had the best snow. Flume and Walking Boss had nice soft snow from top to bottom. We made laps on both of these two trails for a good portion of the day. Sunset still had decent coverage, we took that to access Picked Rock, Flying Fox, and Upper Bear Claw. Upper Speakeasy is still skiing well, that's my favorite way to get back down to the West Basin area. No lift line at North Peak. The East Basin double did not run today.

Hours are 9-5 for this weekend and next weekend. This is the last weekend for the West Basin area. South Peak is closed for the season.

Weather: Cloudy but almost no precipitation in the morning. Some periods of light drizzle in the afternoon, but not a bad day at all.
