Comments CommentsTried to beat the rain but the rain beat me to it! Definitely softer snow out there, plenty to edge into. A few patches where you can tell the dirt might come through if left unattended, but otherwise a well done effort to conserve what snow they could.

Spear quad was running torturously slow today (reportedly to give the engine a break), and was serving Flying Yankee top to bottom, with a side dish of Showoff and the connector to lower Cardigan (Turnpike). Any snow I saw being made last Wednesday on Cardigan is now non existent. It looks like they may have pushed some of it down from the lower pitches, and have Turnpike open from the Barnyard connector (Homerun). Whales left from snow making on Showboat have been skied at some point, and look to still be fine to push out when the temps drop again. Connector between lower Flying Yankee and Turnpike is rough, and the connector between Flying Yankee and Showoff is thin (width and depth) with the always fun uphill. Wanna Be Wild was smooth for the beginners. The Barn was still not open..womp wompppp.

Six pack was running at regular speed, ironically (this engine would seem to need more of a break..) serving all of the previous terrain, plus Wild Ride/Side is open now top to bottom. Great groom here. Headwall and Upper Crewcut held up nicely with the warmer temps, and also had great grooms. Race training on Main Street, with a trail closed banner erected about 200 feet down from where Raggedy Andy comes in. Skied it anyway, no one yelled and the snow was nice skiers right. Patrol flagged some serious dips and melts on the lower section of Village Green/Main Street.

Man it’s hard to keep all those trail names straight!
