Comments | Opening day! 9 am to 3:30 pm, good snow! I arrived at Noon and skied until 3 pm, 15 runs. The Zephyr high speed quad serviced Range View, only lift and trail open. Range View covered with machine groomed man made snow from edge to lift tower line. There was three to four inches of natural snow under the lift and people were giving the fast grass and rocks a good run. I heard it was busy the first couple of hours but at Noon skiers and snowboarders were few. Skied right onto the lift and plenty of room on the trail. No views today top half of the mountain was in the clouds/fog and lower half was better visibility but not sunny. My pal Barb joined me for a few runs, she is a good novice and she found the conditions a little intimidating, she missed the sunshine. Snow was good and it felt good to be making turns and feeling the cold. Staff cheerful and nice, pass/ticket office to the lifties and ski patrol. Good feelings and smiles everywhere. Go skiing! |
