Comments | Got there at opening bell. Parking was a long line to get into the lot, I took a right and parked in lower lot that had a few car, better to walk further. I got all dressed at my car with the exception of my ski boots, it is a long walk up a lot of stairs to get to the slopeside lodge. Free bag storage room adjacent to customer service. I don't know how many trails that had snow making and were groomed pretty flat but they were nearly bullet proof frozen granular, I think they groomed before the snow set up. So skiers and snowboarders were making LOUD turns. Natural snow trails had nice skiable bumps but you had to keep your eyes open for barespots/rocks. Super Bravo and HeavensGate open at 8 am but Gate House didn't open until 9, and I never figured out what was up with the Valley House, seemed like it started late and was stop and go? For more details read Rocket's report, it was fun meeting up to ski with him. Gosh first hour practically ski on to the lifts, second hour a few minutes, but after 10 am it was long, I think we quit about 10:45. Line at Heaven's gate was insane. Cars still jamming to come in while I drove away. Someone was happy to get my parking spot they practically blocked me so I couldn't leave because they can't drive, we had a nice little standoff until they figured they better move over so I could get by them. ha ha. I was glad to get out of there it became way to crowded for me. |
