Comments Comments After almost rattling the filling out of my teeth yesterday at Sugarbush, I wasn't expecting much when I went to Bretton Woods this afternoon. There is a reason why Bwoods is voted best grooming! I don't know exactly what to call it but the loose granular was soft and made for nice turning. It was a real joy to ski. No icy hard frozen granular for real.
A slalom race for young racers was being held on Bretton Woods so it was off limits.
5 lifts running today. Skiers and snowboarders well spread out over the mountain. I did a few laps on Rosebrook summit quad so I could ski Upper Swoop and Zealand over and over. Gondola was nice, I used it as a phone booth for a couple of solo rides.
Weather moving in, it got dark and clouds moved down lower. I hope winter shows up to stay soon. Rain tomorrow and looks like most ski areas are closing for the day tomorrow.
