Comments CommentsBetter conditions and variety of terrain than on Monday, but still a lot of rocks and thin spots down low.

Ripcord was open and groomed. A little tricky with the limited visibility from snow/fog, but decent snow. Organgrinder was also good (not sure if it was groomed last night, but it hadn't bumped up yet). Upper Jester okay.

From Super Bravo, Murphy's was not good - thin with rocks and ice in places. Lower Organgrinder was awful - bulletproof from the snowmaking, to the extent that patrol roped it off with a narrow entrance. Lower Jester and lower Downspout still had thin spots and random rocks. Spring Fling was okay, but Lower Snowball/Racer's Edge were closed (recent snowmaking whales not pushed out).

Sleeper was the only way down from Gatehouse without skiing through guns (going on Pushover). Thin and icy in spots and very much in need of a refresh of snow in places.

Guns blazing on Birch Run. Slide Brook still not open, so did the one-boot drive to Ellen once Lincoln Peak got a little too crowded for my liking.

The Panorama loop opened on the Ellen summit. Upper FIS is still closed with the snowmaking whales not pushed out.

Three runs open from the North Ridge Express (running, but seemed to stop every 5 minutes or so; no lines). Lower Rim Run/Looking Good/Elbow, feeding into Which Way/Joe's Cruiser/Northstar. Generally okay, but Northstar had a bulletproof base underneath a little bit of loose granular.

Crackerjack fortunately opened down low, so the rocky Straightshot could be avoided.

Did not ski Inverness (gates were just starting to come down as I left). Only snowmaking activity on the Ellen side was the terrain park off the Sunshine Quad.
