Comments Comments We were second chair up Spear, the Ragged Mountain ix pack had a short delay opening, maybe ten minutes, as crews cut leaning birches that were too close to the chairs nearer the summit. Snow is still sticking to the trees. Summit mostly in a cloud today and the sun did not come out today. Trails were nicely groomed packed powder corduroy that were soft to make nice fast turns easily. Snow in the glades was nice too and the temptation to duck ropes on the glades off of Spear was very high. We did ski Big Rock ungroomed and there was a thin thin crust on the loose ungroomed snow and Mickey's run had a groomed stripe down the middle. Basically skied onto the lifts but when we left at 11:30 more people were arriving and I noticed a school bus headed up the hill on my drive down. Really fun morning with Bria. They were pushing out snow on Lower Exhibition so it will be open very soon.
