Comments | It was windy and cold and the sun never came out. . The groomers deserve credit for doing the very best they could to smooth out the slopes and make some loose granular. Opening was delayed nearly half an hour. The pond skim was cancelled due to th cold and wind and I am betting the mound of snow they had to make the pond would have been a challenge and not worth the effort on such a not warm spring day. Yes the bad side of spring skiing when winter shows up. Summit was closed due to the wind. They ran the chair ran for a run and the brave people that took the trip to the summit I wondered if they regretted their decision, lift was closed right away. Sparse crowds if not for the ski club Kris and the Groups from the UK it would have been empty. I think a race was happening over at Taft? We probably should have taken a few runs at Tucker Brook as I drove away I saw a few novices, what looked like they having a good time. Oh well that's Spring skiing for ya, Becca did a good job on her snowboard making loud turns. |
