Comments | Some unexpected snow - about 6" - to turn a pretty ordinary December day into some pretty good ungroomed skiing. First day to the summit, with Upper Carpet -> Medium groomed down to Wand and Showoff. That overnight snow allowed for rope-drops on Kinderspiel, Mystery, Lower Carpet, Up Your Sleeve, White Out, Phoenix, and the smaller glades. Most of it got pretty thin by the end of the day, but a solid snow cover should help when more snow comes. Guns were blaring on Upper Carpet past Medium as well as Lower Wand -> Hocus Pocus. Probable next targets would be Lower Carpet, Vertigo, Trick, and Lower Red before moving to the West Side. |
