Comments CommentsThe impending warmup will render all this moot tomorrow and through the weekend, but it was a great time at Killington regardless. Skied all the classics, including Superstar which was in excellent shape compared to normal, and Great Eastern, which was good until the very bottom where it was a lot more crusty - probably a result of a few freeze thaws.

Both gondolas, all detachables except Needles Eye, Sunrise/Snowdon triples, and surprisingly South Ridge were open today.
Visibility was bad early but improved throughout the day.

All the cruisers skied great. Super buttery snow, really easy to carve on, the fastest I've skied in a while for sure. Skyeburst was amazing top to bottom, and so was Cruise Control, Bittersweet, and Cascade. Downdraft was icy. Hiked up to the summit and tried Catwalk - exposed rocks and really thin on the main entrance, so we hiked further up and went in from higher which was better. Barely touched Ramshead/Snowdon/North Ridge areas.

One other note, even though the Skyeshit got new gondola cabins, it still had two prolonged stops back to back today. Clearly needs more mechanical work to get it into proper operating conditions. All other lifts ran pretty fast and smoothly.
