Comments | It was a great first free ski night of the season at Black Mountain! Conditions were surprisingly good, with soft loose granular snow. All of the night skiing terrain was open. Lower Rapid was ungroomed with mostly natural snow, and didn't have as great conditions. Everything else was perfectly groomed! There were lots of people out, but lines at the triple never got more than a couple minutes long. It's worth noting that light bulbs being out have led to significant dark areas on Lower Rapid, Sunday, and especially Magalloway. These dark spots are potentially dangerous, as it's almost impossible to see obstacles and other skiers. |
