Glades | *I'm using the glade notes section to describe the downhill trails.* Trails were FAST. the snow was packed tight, and it squeaked under my skis with every turn. It was FAST, cold, and fun! There were times when the wind was enough to hit you full on and slow you down. |

Food and Beverage | Ask for a half portion of nachos in the Black Diamond. Top it off with an adult type hot chocolate, and it's the perfect apres-ski snack. |

Comments | Wachusett put on a wonderful New Year's Eve event. It was cold for Central MA standards- Zero at the base, and colder at the summit. I was fine with my Polartec turtleneck base layer top that I've had for years, but I did bust out my old winter horseback britches for use as a base layer bottom. The cold kept the crowds away, and it was really too bad. Wachusett staff did a wonderful job of making snow tubing, and the fireworks display was absolutely AMAZING!!! New Year's Eve at Wachusett is not to be missed! |
