Session | Full Day |
Ticket Type | Discount from Ski Area |
Lift Lines | 0 minutes |
Trail Conditions | 90% open; Packed Powder, Wet Packed Powder |
Glades | The one I saw that was open sported a lot of brown. Not my thing in any case. |
Moguls | Machine-made moguls on Tiger Steeps, but no one was on them on any of the six times I took the Tiger Triple. |
Terrain Park(s) | I discovered by accident that all the Pistol Triple trails are now a big Terrain Park. They had loads of jumps and rails that looked ready for use but no one there to use them at about 11 am. |
Run of the Day | Upper Cannonball/TIger |
Food and Beverage | Chicken Tenders, Fries and a 12-ounce fountain drink would have cost me $15.24, but I brought my own lunch. |
Comments | If "Machine Groomed" were available for Conditions, I would have chosen it. To me, that's better than Frozen Granular or Wet Groomed Powder, but not as good as Packed Powder. The Trails from the summit quad, when I started skiing around 10:30, were still a bit hard, but the sun had come out faintly, it got warmer and they quickly softened. Peak conditions were around 11:45, then the sun and temperature got too warm and heavy Spring snow ensued.
There was plenty of cover on every trail I skied except Stonebar, which had many dirt patches, but easily avoided. The other Tiger Triple trails - Red Hat, Cannonball and Tiger - were in great shape and my favorite runs of the day. The very few skiers there seemed to be concentrating on Panorama and the other trails from the summit quad, and they were good too. I suspect this weekend may end my ski season but it's ending on a high note. |
