Session SessionFull Day
Lift Ticket Ticket TypeDiscount from Ski Area
Lift Lines Lift Lines0 minutes
Snow Trail Conditions35% open; Packed Powder, Frozen Granular
Glades GladesAll closed.
Moguls MogulsA serious-looking set is intact on the Lift Line Trail, under the Sunbowl Express Quad, but they looked rigid and I saw only a few tracks, near the edge.
Terrain Park Terrain Park(s)They have five of which one was said to be open, but I didn't happen upon it.
Run of the Day Run of the DayUpper Blastoff/Blastoff/Lower Blastoff
Food and Beverage Food and BeverageA regular (vs. large) chicken tenders/fries combo with a small fountain beverage would have cost me $9. I don't know how many or how good, but that price beats Blue Hills for cheapest I've seen this season. Cafeteria was skeleton-staffed on this sparsely attended Wednesday and I brought my own stuff anyway.
Comments CommentsTerrific conditions today, and not only for April 11. They got an inch of powder overnight which freshened up the trails accessed by the Sunapee Express Quad, one of two they were running. The Sunbowl Express Quad trails seemed to have benefited less and were rattly throughout the morning. All trails had plenty of cover, with some thinning at sunny intersections toward the bottom, and they could surely have opened more if the traffic justified. As it was, most of my runs were solitary adventures, which is not a complaint. It was freezing when I started and stayed in the mid-30s, so this really wasn't Spring skiing.
