Comments CommentsTook advantage of the $32 early season ticket price, which was reasonable for the terrain open. An inch of snow overnight, in addition to a few inches from the Thursday-Friday storm.

Two top to bottom runs, plus a few interconnecting crossovers and a beginner trail.

The top of Crawford's Blaze was ungroomed (soft moguls). One could bypass the headwall by using Archie's Alley. From there down, it was good packed powder conditions. Decent base, no thin spots, and not too busy.

Range View had manmade base from the guns to the lift, but enough natural to ski the sides. Good packed powder conditions. A little busy at times.

Rosebrook Lane was open off the Learning Center Quad. A little bit more firm, but not bad.

Took half a dozen runs before grease started splattering off the Zephyr Quad, getting all over my gear and face. Yuck.

With the gondola construction ongoing, the work road up the main mountain is plowed. As a result, I suspect Bethlehem Quad, Fabyans Triple, Rosebrook Quad, and Telegraph T-Bar won't be opening until the towers are up and the crane is off the mountain. My guess is they'll start making snow toward West Mountain next.
