Tough weather this morning. Precip changed over to sleet/freezing rain sooner than yesterday's forecast. About two inches of natural fell before it was glazed over.

White Peaks Quad went on ice hold after the first run. Long lines for the T-Bar once they got that spinning. White Peaks Quad came off ice hold just before 10, when the precip had changed over to rain.

Sunnyside complex had open ungroomed terrain on natural snow. With the crust and visibility, I did not venture over there.

High Country and Green Peak were closed; I don't believe snowmaking as commenced there or on Valley Run.

On the main mountain, snowmaking/groomed trails were Upper Bobby's and White Caps, then a choice of Utter Abandon, Upper Sel's to World Cup, and Old Tecumseh to Lower Sel's. Very top was tricky due to crust and down low a little chunky, but the bulk of it skied very nicely with sweeping turns (the crust was very thin and the new snow under it soft, with a smooth corduroy base). Lower Sel's and Lower Periphery were thin in places. The upper steeps of Utter Abandon were nice.

Psyched/Chute/etc. were open on natural snow, but I did not venture onto them.

Tangent to Periphery and Sidewinder to Tippecanoe opened later in the morning, on what appeared to be groomed natural snow. Both runs emptied onto Siegel Street. Terry's Trail has large whales and just needs to be pushed out to open. Some whales on Lower Tippy, but looks like more snowmaking is needed. I think some snow has been made on And Tyler Too, but it was closed.

Gave up the ghost at 10:45 when I was soaked beyond comfort. Natural snowpack should survive this rain.
