Fantastic conditions and occasional sunshine. All trails retained their snowpack without visible carnage from the monsoon yesterday. Spring snow throughout, soft enough for nice carving, but not too soft. Twisted Pine/Crooked Pine (terrain park) was the only run that was closed (though the snow report said all trails were open?), but it still looked to have full snow cover (probably waiting until temps drop to rebuild the park). Pretty much the only folks on the hill this morning were youth ski team members.

Polar Bear Triple (front side) and Black Bear Triple (back side) were running, as well as the novice surface lift. Powder Bear Triple was not running, but all terrain could be accessed from the operating lifts. No windholds, no lines.

Runs are short, but the terrain on the back side is excellent - Pitch Pine, Pine Brule, and Jack Pine all have headwalls that are steeper than any trail at some bigger areas.

Good bang for the buck today.
