Comments CommentsSo windy!! Better in the morning than later in the day when we left around 12:30. Super Quad was running but on diesel, and was one of two chairs running from the base. Double chair on Boardwalk was running, but was sketchy with wind. T-Bar was running on and off, finally shutting down around 11:30/12:00. T-bar ride was a one and done for us, as when you got off you were hit with massive gusts that made it hard to move forward. Patches of ice were showing through up top of Narrow Gauge, and getting to Tote Road was a workout. Tote Road was fine all the way down. Anything above Mid-Station X-Cut was ungroomed.

Conditions were interesting with the snow storm, there were trails that were groomed and had 3" of snow covering making for very nice skiing, quick switch over to 6" drifts, back to the 3" groom, and then once getting lower onto the mountain staying well groomed without excessive powder. A lot of technique switching! Fun day though, bundled up and made as many runs as we could.

Around 1:00 they put all lifts on windhold and assuming shortly there after is when the communications tower got bent over and damaged. Serious winds!
