Comments CommentsCold but gorgeous day. Good conditions for the morning. Utter Abandon and World Cup trails were closed off for racing. We thought maybe we could sneak a run down before it was roped off, but first ride up the chair at opening ski patrol was already pulling the rope on it. Unfortunately they had also roped off the top of White Cap which made it impossible to access the trails leading to race trails as well.

High Country was only accessible if you were willing to hike up the slope, since the T-Bar wasn't running. All looked groomed out from the top of White Peaks chair.

Skied a few runs on the main mountain. Most were in fine shape with some ice showing through the center of Chutes. Made our way over to Green Peak later on and earned our rewards. Great trails here, Clean Shaven and Governor's Run were top of the list for this side. Did not attempt Wayne Wongs Run as it was ungroomed and struck me as sketchy. Someone came down it and said it was risky to be open, but she had managed without injury thankfully.

All in all good conditions on a fair amount of terrain to keep one busy for the morning. Alpine races are coming next week, including GS races yay! They are still looking for experienced skiers to volunteer help for most of the days.
