Comments CommentsMore trails open than expected and decent conditions considering the weather. No crowds, but probably twice as many cars in the lot at 5PM as at 9AM.

Two trails open off the top - Polecat and Catapult. Lynx is closed (with one short exception), as they lost a few portions of it (particularly the second steep and the turn just below the Tomcat crossover area).

Upper Polecat was getting beat up just above the top of the Tomcat Triple, while Catapult was starting to show carnage where it joins the old lift line. Below there, there were there options on that side - Catapult (good coverage), cross over to a section of Lynx, or a short headwall (patchy but skiable) of Lift Lion. Cat Track was open to connect Upper Polecat to Catapult.

Polecat below Tomcat had generally good coverage, except the last little bit back to the base area (they're pushing that little stretch together using snow off the end of Lower Catenary, which was nominally open with one short walking stretch).

Getting a little tight/thin in the usual place below the Wildcat junction. Below there, there were four options, the best coverage being on Bobcat. A hard right could get one to Lower Catapult (ungroomed, one short walking stretch, otherwise decent) or Alley Cat (best skiing early on). Cheetah was also open.

Not too much rain to speak of after 9 AM. The upper third of the mountain was constantly getting snow and sleet (but not enough to accumulate). I suspect they'll be able to have the same trails open for tomorrow, which is likely the last day of the season (I think there may be enough snow to put Bobcat together for May 1 if they really want to).
