Comments CommentsWhile Killington had lots of wind, Pico was generally not affected by today's wind angle.

Little Pico had two ways down. Bushwhacker had just opened to connect to the Summit Express, but was awkward due to the uncured snow with a few thin spots. Seemed like C Slope may have been open (ungroomed natural), but it may just have been a rope malfunction. B Slope was initially frozen granular facing into the wind, but instantly turned into soft packed powder corduroy (yes, lots of corduroy still in the afternoon). Well worth another run on it.

Only one trail off the summit - 49er. Some good stretches, then guns on for the lower half (ground guns were annoying to ski through, but the snow was decent). Guns also going on Easy Street and Mid Pike.

Two runs open off the Golden Express - Fool's Gold and Gold Rush (top to bottom), with Lower Pike and Swinger to get to the bottom. All skied nicely. Snowmaking piles on Expressway and Ace of Clubs, but not yet open.

Only a few dozen people on the whole mountain, so it felt like a private ski area. Cold temperatures, but nice sunshine and not much wind.
