Comments CommentsWe started a little after opening and beat the crowds for about an hour before the rush started trickling in. Ski school was in full swing by 9:30 jamming the lift lines up pretty good. Organ grinder was natural up top, and groomed lower but not in the greatest shape. Jester was great top to bottom, Valley Chair had goo terrain that got better as the morning progressed. Heaven's Gate chair was open and not terribly busy. The trail leading to it was in good shape. Stein's Run was open, but we didn't get to hit it due to lift issues. We managed to ski almost everything open, before Super Bravo shut down. It was unclear what had happened to cause it to go down, but was clearly unexpected as the chairs were already loaded. The diesel back up had some audible issues, but they were able to finished unloading everyone at the top terminal without drastic measures. This resulted in the other running chairs to be packed, so we headed to Ellen.

Ellen was not busy at all when we got there, and the conditions were still good though not as good as Lincoln. GMX chair was running on diesel, word was that it went down yesterday, and was waiting for a part for the engine. It is the only way to get close to skiing off the top. The summit quad was not running, and looks like those trails need more snow. We played around under the North Ridge lifeline and Exterminator which was fun natural. The lower trails were good, and the lines never got too long after Super Bravo went down.

Beautiful day, a lot of fun and definitely one to remember :)
