Comments Comments45 Trails, and all 10 Lifts were open today. Temperature was in the high teens to start, but warmed up quickly. Maxed out in the mid thirties by early afternoon at the base. Stayed below freezing on the slopes.

Snow conditions were great to start out. The snow makers have refreshed most of the trails this week. It was quiet early on, but lift lines developed around 10 AM. By noon there were a few skied off spots in the usual locations, and the lift lines dissipated quite a bit. I skied the West Basin and North Peak. Avoided the Gondola area as it is typically too busy on weekends for my liking.

South Peak was open, but I did not venture over there today. All trails in that complex were open except for Ripsaw, and Escape Route.

The West Basin skied nicely. All trails were open except for Upper Northstar. Lower Northstar got refreshed this week, there was no sign of last weekend's carnage at the bottom of the trail. Coolidge Street was closed in the morning for race training, opened up after noon.

Loon Peak trails were in good shape. Upper Speakeasy was open the entire length again. Snowmakers have refreshed the first section of that trail that got washed out last weekend. Angel Street opened up today. It was in great condition with all new snow that was made this week. Big Dipper, and Cant Dog also opened today.

On North Peak Upper Flume opened up this weekend, with all freshly made snow. It skied nicely. Lower Flume was ok, but some boilerplate was exposed as the day progressed. Lower Walking Boss had many freshly made whales that have not been groomed out yet.

Overall it was a great day to be out there.
