Comments Comments49 Trails, and 8 Lifts were open today. The East Basin double lift was closed today. Temperature was in the low to mid 30's all day. Light snow to start out the day. Transitioned to sleet and freezing rain from about 10:30 - 12:30. During this time visibility was not too good as the rain was freezing on my goggles. Took a break for a while to let the weather pass. Then in the afternoon it transitioned back to light snow for the rest of the day, and visibility improved greatly.

Snow conditions were good today. The fresh snow from the past few days was groomed into the mix forming a nice carvable surface on all the trails. Snow making was active on Upper Walking Boss, Flying Fox, and around Camp III Lodge. I skied the West Basin and North Peak most of the day. Took the Gondola a couple of times. Sunset trail was a bit windy, and the new snow made conditions a bit sloppy there as the day progressed. Did not ski at South Peak today.

It was not too busy at Loon today considering it was a holiday.
