Comments Comments52 of 61 Trails, and 10 of 10 Lifts were open today.

The temperature was 29° at 8 AM, rose to 33° when I left at 3 PM. Mostly cloudy today. Patches of sunshine during the mid morning. A snow squall passed through around 1 PM

Started out at South Peak today. No lift lines until 10 AM. After 11 it started to thin out as folks headed home to watch the game. The snow condition on all five South Peak trails was nice.

Went over to the West Basin area next. The lift line was about 2 minutes for the first run, then ski on for the rest of the time that I spent there. Rumrunner and Coolidge Street were closed for racing.
Speakeasy had recent snow making, and skied well. The other trails were ok, but were firmer.

Went to North Peak next. Upper Flume was roped off except for a small entrance with a sign stating Experts Only. It was firm, but skied ok. Chairlift chatter was that it was icy yesterday. Lower Flume was good. Walking Boss and Sunset had new snow from recent snow making. The snow was soft and was bumped up by the time I skied them. Picked Rock, Flying Fox, and Crosscut skied well.

Since there were no lift lines after lunch I decided to take a shot at the Gondola. As luck would have it that area was jammed with people. Spent about 10 minutes waiting in the line. One and done, I didn't go back there.

Overall it was a Super day for skiing! Yeah there were a few icy spots here and there. But nothing you couldn't avoid, or ski over.

Lets hope the groundhog is wrong and we have a cold and snowy rest of Winter and Spring!
