Comments CommentsDecent (albeit variable) conditions considering the weather we've had this week.

I appreciated that they let folks load the gondola before 9 AM; kind of foolish when some other areas make you wait til 9 on the dot when everything is ready to go.

On North Peak, Walking Boss was inconsistent - sometimes soft granular, sometimes golf balls, sometimes ice coated corduroy where they seemed to have missed a pass grooming overnight. Upper Flume was quite good this morning, as they left it alone then tilled it into a decent granular. Lower had random strips of ice coated snowpack and some granular and golf balls.

In East Basin, I only skied Angel Street off the top (decent early). Big Dipper was closed from Cant Dog to Angel Street (set up bumps), but Basin Street was so so. Triple Trouble was closed. Bear Pause was nice spring snow in the direct sun.

Upper Flying Fox, Upper Picked Rock, and Upper Speakeasy were not too good - lots of boilerplate and assorted golf balls.

Took two runs in West Basin; Lower Speakeasy was so so, as was Upper Northstar, but Lower Rumrunner was thin cover. Coolidge Street was closed for racing.

On South Peak, Boom Run was icy and boilerplate in places. Cruiser was also beat up with some bare spots. Twitcher and Jobber were in decent shape considering with some golf balls. Ripsaw also had a lot of golf balls with some ice underneath, but was actually quite decent considering (warranted a repeat run).

Partly sunny skies, temperatures in the 30s with some wind (nothing too stiff). Decent sized crowd for mid-week non holiday, but never waited for more than a few chairs (apart from a multi-minute wait for the gondola).
