Comments CommentsA second night of grooming left the mountain in much better shape today than yesterday. The temperature was below freezing to start out, but warmed up to the upper 30's. The day started out with a few flurries. It remained cloudy all day.

North Peak: Upper Flume was the best trail. Groomers harvested snow from stockpiles on skiers left and spread it out to refresh the trail with nice soft snow. Upper Walking Boss and Sunset also skied very well. Lower Walking Boss was good, but Upper was better. Haulback was open and ok.

Loon Peak: Exodus and Bear Claw Extension were good. Upper Speakeasy was also good. Upper Picked Rock and Flying Fox were in much better shape than yesterday. Took the Gondola to access Angel Street, it was good. Basin Street was open, but very choppy. Triple Trouble and Big Dipper were closed. The moguls were groomed out on Bear Pause last night, leaving it covered with nice soft snow except for a few icy spots where the ruts of the moguls were.

West Basin trails were all in good shape. The exception being Upper Northstar which opened back up today, but had thinner coverage than the other trails. Coolidge Street was closed in the morning for racing, but opened up in the early afternoon. By the mid afternoon the snow softened up really nice on Rumrunner and Coolidge Street. These two trails were groomed nicely and the softer hero snow was awesome to finish out the day on.

I didn't go over to South Peak today.
