Comments CommentsThe Gondola, Seven Brothers Triple, North Peak Quad, and the Kank Quad were running.

West Basin: Blue Ox, Rampasture, Lower Northstar, Upper Rumrunner, and Coolidge Street were open. The grooming was much better than yesterday, with a some new snowmaking powder mixed in. Speakeasy and Lower Picked Rock were closed. Coolidge Street was the most improved, yesterday's ice balls were now just soft clumps.

North Peak: Walking Boss, Sunset, Upper Picked Rock, Flying Fox, Haulback, and Bear Claw were open. All were in great shape. There was some new snow making overnight in Grand Junction to refresh that area. Flying Fox had a lot more traffic because it was the route for the kids to get to the park set up on Crosscut.

Did not go down to the Gondola base.

The weather was mild No rain before we left at noon.

Loon is presently open only to Season Passholders. Icon Pass holders too, but they must make an online reservation beforehand. Loon will open to the general public starting on Monday 12/14.

In past seasons prior to last year Loon would mail out their season passes in October. On opening day you already had your pass and you proceeded straight to the lift. Since switching over to the RFID system last year passes were not mailed. Last year there were huge lines of people waiting an hour or more to get their passes on the first few weekends. One would think that since we are in a global pandemic Loon would have just mailed all the passes out like they used to do. Nope. Long lines of people were picking up their passes yesterday. I got stuck in the line because I needed to purchase a friend and family ticket for my daughter. Forty five minutes were spent in line to purchase the ticket.
