Comments CommentsGood times to be had at Mount Sunapee today! Pulled up in the parking lot at 7:25 and could tell it was probably going to busy. Just a small line for the Sunapee Express at the opening, and decided to spend the morning at Sunbowl. Wingding was very nicely groomed in the morning, and Williamson was left ungroomed, and the cover was pretty thin, but fun nonetheless. They also had a few other ungroomed blues open, but I did not ski them. No wait at Sunbowl pretty much all day, 2 or 3-minute wait at most, a great place to escape the crowds.

Sunapee Express had a pretty long line all day until around one. No singles line and the wait averaged about 15min. Even though the line was long, people were spread out and they had a mask enforcer walking up and down the empty line. The line started to shorten a little after lunchtime and became reasonable around 1 or so. Skyway Ledges was nice in the morning, a little firm but pretty good. Westside was pretty nice all day and was one of the best spots on the mountain later in the day. Chipmunk and Lower Blast Off were in pretty good shape most of the day as well. Upper Blastoff skied pretty nicely except on the headwall, which was pretty icy most of the day.

North Peak Triple had a shorter wait than the Quad (but still a wait) and serviced the Chipmunk, Lower Blastoff, and some naturally. open blacks.

Most of the trails were nice in the morning, but most were skied off by one or so. Wingding was HORRIBLE in the afternoon, and Skyway Ledges wasn't much better. Overall though, as long as you don't mind the crowds (or just skiing Sunbowl), today was a pretty good day at Mount Sunapee!
