Comments CommentsSkied the trails off the Barker Express, Locke, and Spruce chairlifts. T2, Upper Sunday Punch, Cascades, Ecstasy, Right Stuff, Lazy River, Risky Business, Sirius, Aldura, Lights Out, and Downdraft. Trails were well groomed. Only encountered a few icy spots that were easily skied over.

There was a wait of several minutes at the Barker lift first thing in the morning. The line cleared up by around 10:30 or so. No one appeared to be directing traffic, but there was a mask enforcer pacing the lift line. Everyone was already in compliance while I was there.

The Spruce Peak lift had no line. This lift has conveyor belt assisted loading. The liftee stayed inside the shack, and was not out bumping chairs, so it didn't seem necessary IMHO to mask up to load this lift as long as no one else was nearby.

No line observed at the Locke Mountain lift.

The weather was pleasant. Mostly sunny all day. The temperature was about 26° to start, and it warmed up to about 33° in the afternoon.

Observed that the RFID gates were open for most of the day. Only had to scan my New England pass twice, both times were at the Barker lift. Not really a large issue for the New England, or Sunday River Pass holders, as they already have our money. However, Icon Pass holders need to be scanned each visit in order for the resort to collect their payment. Boyne Resorts was a victim of a Ransomware attack in October, which devastated their systems. That's why everyone had to reactivate their passes. It appears they may still be struggling with the negative effects of this attack.
