Comments CommentsWas going to go to Bromley today, but after seeing how high the winds were there and that both summit lifts were on wind hold, I decided to do Magic today instead, which I think was the right choice. I would sum up this day as terrible weather but good snow. Besides the nice sunny sky, the weather was really bad. Single digits/teens at the base all day, but I would assume with wind chill it felt lower than zero at the summit in the morning. Mountain was pretty windy skiing down but wasn't too bad on the chairlift. I almost preferred doing slower trails today just so my toes wouldn't get so cold.

Groomed trails were nice and soft, and did not get skied off until far after lunch. Ungroomed terrain was a mixed bag today. I'm new to ungroomed stuff so I didn't do any of the West Side trails, but on the east side some had a great cover and some had iffy cover. Some had moguls, but some were a hard pack. Some ungroomed trails still had powder left on the side, others didn't.

Lift lines were pretty short all day. Lots of 1 or 2 min lines, with a few ski ons, and a few 5 min ones too, but nothing too bad the whole day.

Overall, it was a good day, I just wish the weather was a little better
