Comments CommentsStarted at the West Basin. It was basically hard pack corduroy. Went over to North Peak and found much better conditions. The underlying snow was firm but groomed smooth and there was a nice layer of loose snow on top. I was surprised at how well all the trails skied today. The sun was out and visibility was good. Hardly anyone showed up today, I never had to wait in any lift lines which was surprising for a holiday week. The Gondola was on wind hold for a while in the morning. The Kanc lift went down around noon for about an hour. I went to South Peak after lunch to catch the afternoon sun over on those trails. No lift lines over there and good conditions too. Finished up the day at the West Basin. The trails were much better by then than they were in the morning as skier traffic had smoothed up the snow.

The weather was cold, 12° to start. It only warmed up to about 19° in the afternoon. It was windy though. The wind was blowing straight up Sunset and Flume trails. There was full sun all day and there was good visibility all day.
