Comments CommentsThe Gondola, Seven Brothers Triple, and North Peak Quad ran today. Minimal grooming was done overnight to preserve the snow.

The snow started out firmer today than yesterday, which was surprising as it was warmer this morning than yesterday morning. It kind of set up overnight even though the air temp remained above freezing. However the snow quickly softened up as the morning progressed.

Started at the Gondola. Didn't ski Angel Street right away because the snow looked shiny on the trails during the ride up. We skied it later in the day after it warmed up. It was ungroomed, and had a few bare spots, but overall it was still in decent shape snow wise.

On North Peak Upper Flume and Upper Walking Boss were ungroomed. Both trails had thin coverage at the top. Upper Walking Boss offered complementary stone grinding of your skis on each run, unless you were really careful. Lower Flume and Walking Boss still had good coverage though. Sunset was about the same as yesterday. Haulback is still open. But Cant Dog apparently bit the dust, so you can't access Lower Angel Street or Basin Street from North Peak.

Again we skied mostly on North Peak today. Lower Flume was the place to be. Lots of soft bumps. Lots of folks skiing in shorts and T-Shirts. No ski pants or jacket needed today. Fun times. Upper Picked Rock and Flying Fox still have good snow coverage, but they got mashed up with the warm temps.

We took a lunch break to tailgate in the parking lot. Went back out but our legs gave out quickly in the soft snow. We quit after 2 today.

Loon has extended the season until 4/18. However, I heard that tomorrow is the last day for the North Peak Quad. Only the Gondola will run until closing day.

Weather: Temperature started out in the low 50's and climbed up to 75° in the afternoon. Started out cloudy, but transitioned into mostly sunny. There was no wind today.
